Article II

On the question presented.

The rule of law is not a privilege of the well-served. It is a guarantee — or it is nothing. Where representation is reserved for the wealthy, the literate, and the geographically fortunate, the law has not failed alone. We have failed the law.

Statement of Mandate · Justly Chambers
Brief of Facts

Justice, in most of Africa, is a question of geography and means.

In every market we serve, the same pattern returns. Civil legal problems are common; civil legal remedies are rare. Counsel is concentrated in the capital, in English, and in fees a household cannot meet.

The result is a quiet kind of injustice — one where the law exists, the courts exist, and the rights exist, but the route between them does not.

70%

of Africans face at least one civil legal problem each year — most without remedy or recourse.

3%

are able to obtain meaningful representation when a matter requires it.

1:1,400

is the ratio of practising lawyers to citizens in many of our markets — concentrated in capital cities.

The Practice

A chambers built in software.

Every petitioner receives the four services that decide whether a matter is heard or quietly closed: counsel, evidence, advocacy, and a record. We have engineered each of them to scale — without lowering the standard a court would expect.

Questions Anticipated

Anticipated questions, answered plainly.

The points raised most often by petitioners, partners, and prospective counsel. If a question is not addressed here, write to us at chambers@getjustly.org.

Basic access is free in perpetuity. The Pro tier — with the full platform, evidence vault, and counsel matching — is $7 a month. Less than one hour of legal consultation in any of our markets.

Each matter remains confidential at every stage. End-to-end encrypted. No public records, no silent sharing. The petitioner controls when and how information is disclosed.

No. WhatsApp works on basic handsets, and partner organisations bridge access for users without any device. We designed for the lowest common denominator — deliberately.

Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, and Rwanda at launch — with jurisdiction-specific intelligence in each market.

A general assistant offers information. Justly builds a case. The difference is infrastructure: an evidence vault, verified advocates, case continuity, and jurisdiction-specific legal logic. None of those exist in a general tool.

Yes. A $500K pre-seed round. Investors aligned with access to justice, legal technology, or African infrastructure are invited to be in touch.
